Transportation Control Systems, Inc. Announces Growth in the Southeast and Rebranding of Quality Traffic Systems
Tampa, Florida based Transportation Control Systems (TCS) is pleased to announce its rebranding to include Quality Traffic Systems (QTS) under the TCS umbrella
Tampa, Florida (January 26, 2015) — Transportation Control Systems (TCS) is one of the nation’s leading manufacturers and distributors of high quality, technologically advanced traffic control products. In 2013, TCS acquired Quality Traffic Systems (QTS), a Nashville-based company. QTS distributes traffic signal and intelligent transportation systems equipment in seven states in the southeast, namely Tennessee, Kentucky, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
The acquisition greatly expanded TCS’ geographic coverage and allows TCS to provide more products to clients in the Southeast. By further integrating QTS, more resources are available to all customers, thereby improving customer service, decreasing lead times for both contractors and government customers, and resulting in steady growth.
“As the two companies continue to expand, it makes sense for us to rebrand under one Transportation Control Systems, Inc. umbrella,” explained TCS President, Steven Gillis. “With our steady growth in the southeast, together we have a stronger presence in this market. Both TCS and QTS are focused on providing the highest quality traffic control products and services in the US. This unification will allow us to provide more resources for our customers.”
The company will continue its operations in both the Tampa, FL and Nashville, TN offices, with no changes to personnel. Basil Hall, General Manager for the Nashville office commented, “We are thrilled to be part of this rebranding and the outstanding Transportation Control Systems name. Our employees look forward to the addition of even more support and leading edge products for our expanding customer base.”
